I went over the NDa and other requirements of becoming an individual
member of JCP and have come to the conclusion that it woudl interfere with
my present and futre java open source work. At the moment SUN seems to
interested in stacking the deck against open source rather than compete on
merits or letting the help that open source could provide flow
uninterrupted.
Would I become a JCP member if the NDA requirements
were removed? Depends, despite what SUN says; using open source and
supporting open source are two different issues.
