Well look at MS dragged in now! Intel has joine Eclipse.org project and has stated its intent on adding Eclipse plugins that integrate with its compliers for Pentium4, Xeon, and Itanium along with Vtune to the project as OpenSource contributions according to this SiliconValley.Internet.com article.

Can Arm, Transmeta and other CPU chip vendors be far behind?
