Has anyone taken a look at Mozilla.org 's ElectricFire JVM? Looks like awt and etc are not supported as of yet, but considering they are joining forces with GNU Classpath that might happen within the next 12 to 18 months.

On looking at that effort to see how they stacked up against Blackdown found this OJI Project which is a project to allow any JVM to plug into Mozilla Browser.

ElectircFire was a commercial JVM under Netscape but was never releeased in 1998 after it was first developed. If you look at the performance specs of the requirements doc from 1997 you will notice that at that time EF's goal was still tied to doign a complete Java version of a web Browser.
