Ever since Microsoft's Developer Tools Roadmap 2003-2005 announcement yesterday, the .NET Weblogs community has been posting their thoughts on the new additions forthcoming in the next .NET version.
One important addition I see that may wake up the Java O/R community is addition of ObjectSpaces to ADO.NET.
Two questions that come to mind as consequences of this addition:

1. Will Sun really push JDO as the defacto O/R mapping API for Java.
2. How the stored-procedure centric .NET developers will react to the availability of ObjectSpaces.
