Today I made a list of things that I'm going to study intensively, and I mean in and out,
* JSTL (JSR 52) * Jakarta-Commons * Jakarta-Taglibs * JSP 1.2/2.0 * Servlet 2.2/2.3 * Struts 1.1 (Read that they will be releasing 1.1 Final mid July..Yipee!!! Way to go guys) * Javascript (building my own personal collection in case I need it in the future for other project) * PL/SQL (I've done a lot of T-SQL in SQL Server, so I think this should not be a problem) * EJB 2.0 (not 2.1 'cause from experience products will not come out that fast implementing the latest specs so I think I will stick to the "older" version a bit) * SSL/TLS

Now, only if I can find the time to do all. Oh well, I'm sure I will be able to do it, as the only thing I need is self-motivation and personal drive, which I have both. I think the ultimate goals that I'm trying to achieve is to make myself more comfortable with ALL aspects of web development from one end to the other end. With a lot of thing going into the studying I just hope that JAVA/J2EE will be sticking around for a long time, as I'm sure with everybody else, nobody wants to invest into something that is not sure. The reason why I really want to fully invest my time and trust in J2EE is not because of the company that made it popular, but because of the community and the people that I met during the course of studying J2EE. Never in my professional life as a developer I ever met so many talented and smart people who is willing to share information until I was able to gain the knowledge to help other developer too.
