At the moment I'm trying to get myself involved in the Jakarta Commons & Taglibs project. Even though they are not as big as Tomcat or Velocity or any other Jakarta project, but they play an essential role in helping these guys to grow. The thing that really intriged me is the fact that some of the commons it provides really help a lot in day-to-day building web application to such an extent that even sometimes you thought of developing it to help you get through the day.
Planning to use some of the modules in my project (if time permits!)
