i recently read this article on gregor hohpe's observations w.r.t. starbucks' business process model for handling orders. he covers their asynchronous approach, how they handle correlation, exception/fault conditions, compensation, etc. his conclusion: the coffee shop interaction well exemplifies the conversation pattern. my conclusion: the coffee shop interaction well exemplifies a BPEL process.
