I remember the times when every java programmer with some reputation bought a Apple Powerbook because it was cool back then. At the same time, i bought a boring IBM Thinkpad, but as it turned out, the decission was more than good. Java5 is still not available (i heard that you can get it via a developer chanel only) and while i am programming with Java5 / J2SE 1.5 for over 3 months now, other are not able to.
Why to write about this? It just came to my mind because i wanted to show a colleague my newest Java5 based Swing Application with the result you can imagine... I remember Steve Jobs saying that Java will be treated as a first class citizen on the Mac. As it turns out, it was nothing more than some marketing blabla.
