Richard Osbaldeston has a very detailed blog post (with Screenshots) about the look and feel issues with Swing and Windows XP under Java 5.0. He ties everything back into WinLAF and the items it fixes.

J2SE 5.0 and WinLAF do we feel like Windows yet?
Now how do I write this up? I've got different combinations of j2se 5.0 standalone, j2se 5.0 and WinLAF 0.4.1 and j2se 5.0 and WinLAF 0.5.. Think I'll start with a bunch of new issues I've noticed while testing j2se 5.0 that WinLAF doesn't cover yet.
