Kdonald writes a great piece about the bad spin placed onto some analysis of J2EE's future. I thought the same thing as Keith writes (that Spring, Hibernate, et al all build on rather than replace J2EE). Yet again the press seems to conflate J2EE with CMP EJB (a bit surpising seeing as Richard Monson-Haefel is involved). Anyway Mr Donald has done a great service writing his piece because most other bloggers have been completely alarmist about this news.
