I am going to use SUN's MIDP2.0 marketing via
JavaVerified.com and Java.com in a way
SUN probably did not intedn but it helps my company. MY plan is to first
as I compile MIDP1.0+closed apis for Nokia handsets is to compile a
MIDP2.0 version of the same code base.
Because I am only using
closed apis that have a 100% translation to MIDP2.0 calls this should
work. In this way I can place those games and applications into SUN's app
catalogue at Java.com and take advantage of the fact those telecoms
looking for MIDP2.0 apps there will also be looking for MIDP1.0 apps and
games. Even though the MIDP2.0 revenue will not be there to fully focus on
MIDP2.0 features, the exposure to telecoms with lots of end users with
MIDP1.0 handsets will be very important in establishing my brand awareness
with telecoms.
