For a long time I was looking for an agile project management approach, that would
make it possible to deliver projects iteratively and in increments.

The ideal process should...

... be very lightweight to not burden the project team (not high ceremony)
... be easily implemented in any organisation
... focus on the work to be accomplished
... provide the organisation immediate feedback (good and bad)
... facilitate the teams' needs, so that great things can be accomplished

That is why Scrum (http://www.scrumalliance.org) was so fascinating.

Now last week I finally met with Ken Schwaber in Vienna (Austria) at the First
Scrum Gathering and used that chance to get a two-day fasttrack introduction
to the Scrum process, and finally became a Certified Scrum Master.

The event was small, but with many exceptional people attending, with whom
it was great to exchange ideas (thanks Tom Ayerst).

So now I will try to introduce Scrum practices into our organisation
(http://www.loewenfels.ch). I am sure, that there will be lots of obstacles
to make that work, but I will try to hold on to become an effective 'practicing'
Scrum Master.

During the next few months I will be posting my experiences to this blog...
