There appears to be a disturbing trend of companies punishing employees for expressing themselves. The most recent publicly talked about example happened when Friendster fired one of it's developers.

Well, this is not at all a new concept. Even microsoft had fired one its employee for the same cause few months back.
Payton Byrd expresses his thoughts on the rising woes of professionally employed bloggers.

Here is what I think:
Blog is the right place to express yourself completely and share your thoughts and feelings with others but DONT CROSS THE THIN LINE between your blogging life and the professional life.
