At first I thoguht this was not needed and at least I stated that in the
JavaLobby thread. However, I have been rethinking that conclusion.
First since policy flows downhill at Sun I did a little research on top
management. The only experienc ewith opensource outside of SUN that they
have had is with OpenGroup.org and OSF fight until recently. Thus, it may
be full lack of knowledge and exp in maintaining working relationships
with opensource that is at fault.
Personally, I would like to see
the Java community build a wiki page outlining the OpenSource Java FAQ and
have stated so at the end of the
javaLobby.org thread. Hopefully the community will be able to work togethr
to make this happen.
