Feed Description: Using Java to get to the ideal state.
Sun forced JDocs to remove several key JavaDocs. That's just stupid. All the good will (for me) that came from starting up public blogs is pretty much blown away. I'd expect/want them to be a little more enlightened about things like JDocs that benefit the community.
Looks like it's a classic big-company case of the right hand not talking to the left hand:
Ross said he had been in contact with Sun executives about JDocs prior to its inception and was surprised at Suns request, made just a few days ago.
"Ironically, Sun was not only the very first friend in Java with whom we shared details about JDocs.com almost two months ago, but it is also the only organization to have asked us to remove any API while a huge number have asked to be added," said Ross on javalobby.org.
But, whatever, it's just the law cream being applied by Sun. Yay capitalism!
