Brian McCallister isn't just an all around good egg. He has written a pragmatic opinion on Why JDO?. His context is why he will write JDO tools for Apache OJB (he is a committer on that project). Brian comes from his own background to these decisions, and he has obviously spent time thinking about them. With pragmatics like Brian on the scene, JDO will hopefully prosper.
