At long last, wireless.java.sun.com has published End-to-End J2ME Application Development by Example - Introducing Smart Ticket . I co-authored this with Michael Yuan, who is author of Enterprise J2ME. This article has been in development through 3 revisions of the Smart Ticket application, and it's good to see it finally in print.

I won't claim to be a J2ME expert myself. Most of the J2ME expertise comes from Michael. My interest in Smart Ticket was as a model for developing J2EE applications that would allow for a J2ME front end. I can easily imagine us wanting to add J2ME front ends to our J2EE applications at work, and I wanted to stay ahead of the game and understand what type architecture we'd need to do that.
