There is a lot of discussion these days about Java and scripting languages. There seems to be this belief that this is something new. It's not. Take a look at the Bean Scripting Framework or at any of the languages which the BSF already supports such as BeanShell, Jython and JRuby. Some of these scripting implementations have been around for years already. So get on the bandwagon already and stop talking like this is something new. And if you are looking for some examples of this stuff in use take a look at JEdit, JPublish and/or MaxQ.
