Just been to see James Strachan and Rod Cope do a presentation about Groovy. Very entertaining, and informative. Not much that I had not read before, but cool all the same. Nice to see some code samples of the groovier features such as GroovyMarkup, GroovyBeans, and GPath. I am determined to use Groovy at some point in the future, but I think I will wait until the JSR has settled down and features are finalised.

James is to be congratulated for creating such an innovative new language, as well as making such a good presentation of it (obviously Rod deserves plenty of credit there too!)

All in all I have been impressed at the level of the sessions today, much more than yesterday. Hopefully that feeling will continue tomorrow!
