When I began coidng MoonBuzz, I orginally thought that just doing MIDP 1.0
compliant code and submitting to soemthing like Tira Wireless's
JavaJumpStart might be the way to get into telecom and handset vendor
sales channels for J2ME Games. However, due to the demand of MIDP 1.0
games with closed apis such as sounds and shakes that is not the case and
is an incorrect assumption.
So basically my marketing will focus on
getting the J2ME MIDP 1.0+closed api games into the handset vendor sales
channels at Nokia, Siemens, Motorola, and also on those large telecoms
with their own sales channels such as Vodafone. Handset Vendors become
the first tier and the telecoms become the second tier.
Also during
this time I have to build up a game/applicaiton certification fund to
prepare for the fact that Sun might be charging those fees for MIDP2.0
certification in Suns' Unified Testing Iniative Program.
