<p>This week <a href="http://clk.about.com/?zi=1/1hc&zu=http://www.arm.com/about/newsroom/arm-and-oracle-announce-plans-to-optimize-java-se-for-enterprise-and-embedded-markets.php">ARM announced a multi-year deal with Oracle</a> for further optimization of the Java SE for ARM 32-bit platforms and the addition of Java SE support for ARM 64-bit platforms.</p>

<p>Optimization of the JVM and Java SE platform for ARM technology could see quicker boot-up times and power savings in the enterprise and embedded markets.</p>
