I had a chance to play with Bob Lee's latest AOP effort dynaop while it was under development, and it is now at a 1.0-beta status and available on java.net, complete with a manual and examples. The approach is intentionally minimalist, and the programmatic runtime configuration is a particularly nice touch.You can read Bob's announcement for more information.
