As
previously mentioned, the JSR working towards updating the Java
Community Process has been
in the public review stage. The votes for the public review
ballot have now been cast and the results (plus comments) can be seen
on the JSR 348 -
Towards a New Version of the JCP ballot page. In summary, the
votes were 25 Yes, 3 Abstains, 0 No votes and 4 that didn't show up
to the party.
The JSR will now head into the final draft stage, followed by the
final approval ballet and it's final release.
It's expected that a another two JSRs will be submitted to update
the JCP - one to merge the two Executive Committees and the other
aimed at modifying the Java Specification Participation Agreement.
