If you're going to be near the Oracle Conference Center in California on May 20th, 2011 you might be interested in the free Java developer day. It's an all-day event running from 8.00am to 5.00pm but space is limited so if you're keen you'd better register soon.

The day is about the latest developments in Java with four tracks to choose from:

• Server Track - looking at building server side applications focusing on Java EE 6, JSF 2.0.
• Java/Desktop Track - what's coming in JDK 7, JavaFX 2.0 and beyond.
• Embedded Track - creating Java embedded applications.
• Mobile Track - using Java ME for mobile applications.
