There's an interesting interview on the NetBeans Zone with Andreas Stefik, a professor at the Southern Illinois University. He talks about efforts to make programming easier for visually impaired developers through the use of the Sodbeans project. For example, trying to give a code context to blind developers through the use of a talking debugger.

If you want to find out more there's a video showing the Sodbeans project in action or you can head over to the Sodbeans website to check it out yourself.
