For those looking to do some Grid computing development using an Open Source Grid framework, check out MyGrid:

"MyGrid is an Open Source, business-friendly (via consulting, support, customizations, donations) grid you can use without incurring multi-mullion dollar costs by commercial grid applications. MyGrid is designed with the modern concepts in mind, simple naming and transparent class hierarchy. You can embed MyGrid into your own applications in any way you w 400 ant! MyGrid wants to become to grid computing what MySQL became for proprietary SQL databases: a viable open source alternative."

Pretty ambitious goals and hopefully with developer/user support it will achieve them.
