Oracle is giving students free passes to get into JavaOne (and Oracle Develop). To qualify the student must be at least 18-years-old, enrolled in an accredited non-profit institution during the Fall semester of 2010 and studying at least six units.

The students gain admission to:

  • the Java Frontier track for students. Sessions include talks on 3-D animation programming and tools for learning Java. To find out more search the content catalog with 'JavaOne and Oracle Develop' as the event and 'Student Sessions' as the track.
  • the Oracle Develop and OpenWorld keynotes
  • the exhibition halls
  • the Mason street tent (an academic booth that showcases training and technologies available to students)

If they're lucky they can also gain entry into technical, Birds-of-a-feather and Hands-on-Lab sessions. This will depend on whether there is any space left.

Details of how students can register can be found on the JavaOne website.
