I suspect most people who come to one of the statically typed functional languages like SML, OCaml, Haskell, F#, or Scala will have only seen static typing in one of the popular C derived languages like C++, Java, or C#. Some differences in type system become clear fast. One particular spot is the relationship and difference between void and unit.So imagine your favorite C derived language.
