Last Monday I got contacted by a Google Recruiter. I directly asked if it was in response to my Android work and got no response and its 8 days later. Early this year I got the same side stepping on a Community must have a centrally located and aggregated wiki discussion. And now we have the same side stepping pattern about an Offical SDK discusssion brought about by the impending cupcake feature firmware release.
This unfortunate miss-steps harms the Android PR message in the Android ecosystem towards both Application developers and Kernel developers. Please understand offhand I have had no direct problems with other OHA members on these issues just Google. This is not a direct result of any actions by T-Mobile, Motorola, or any other OHA member.
Than of course we have the delay on ADC II and no word anywhere. When is Google to re-engage the Android developer community? And I have not even begun the discussion about miss communication and miss direction of the missing XMLHttpRequest object from Webkit Webview thus crippling any Web Widget and Hybrid Native and Web Applications in Android!
Part of OpenSource development is not code but community relationships. This is not a complaint about the hard work that already has been completed but a plea for improvement.
