Genuitec announced today the production release of MyEclipse 7.1 Standard, Professional and Blue Editions.

This new release of MyEclipse features many Blue-specific enhancements for developers working with WebSphere, as well as notable upgrades for Professional and Standard users.

Enhancements include:

  • RAD project support (work with projects in both MyEclipse and RAD)

  • WebSphere 7 support

  • WebSphere 7 Web Services support

  • JAX-RS Web Services updates

  • EclipseLink support

  • Hibernate upgrade

  • Spring update

“We get a lot of requests for new features or enhancements to current tools in Blue Edition and MyEclipse Classic versions,” said Riyad Kalla, product manager for Genuitec in a press statement prior to release. “We feel that the new RAD project migration as well as upgraded JAX-RS support is a major upgrade that users can be very excited about.”

Users will also notice a new MyEclipse Start Page when opening up the IDE, allowing them easy access to information on the latest release of MyEclipse, feature-specific tutorials, and other MyEclipse enhancements.

As always, releases are free to current subscribers, and are available for free 30-day trials.
