First, before I get into this the infrastructure that both Google and OHA are putting into Android OS are allowing me to tweak and add a widget system to the HomeScreen. So why do Zyle?
Everyone saw the reports of what Android devices showed up at MWC in February. Part of the OEM point is that they want some polish in certain areas. Now imagine if you are an OEM.
You could attempt to modfiy he provided HoemScreen with all its dependencies on internal APIs and each time something is changed have it break. Or you can modify the HoemScreen with what has been made public adding to it in certain ways that enhance it in a new direction that does not require access to the internal APIs.
While certainly the new dock is a visual tweak, some new widgets and a more in-depth widget system will allow some visual tweaking to be implemented. Visual and feature tweaking that allows a better sales presentation to Mobile Operators and OEMs. Hopefully, its enough features that I will be able to trade those features for seed capital to bring my other Android Projects to reality.
The only problem is how does one get a dialogue? A recruiter repeating, like the town crier, a job ad is not a dialogue. At times it seems like pulling damn teeth and it should not be that damn hard.
