I have been looking for some signs of pick up by Mobile Operators that they will be deploying Android handsets. Many large Mobile Operators have large amounts of subscribers in their home base dcoutry while also having a large subscriber base in another country either directly under theri brand name or through investment.
Thus the way to track such event sis not through exact direct press reports of deployments because those do not happen until the final phases of that process but to look for service integrations and deployment of service solutions of those service integrations. Email services is easy because it targets both the consumer and enterprise side.
The company Seven supplies an email solution that allows you to view and read email and email attachments from email service providers in a easy to use UI and is a supplier to Sprint. This Seven application includes push notification and address book functionalities according to the PCMAg MWC coverage article. Seven is also expanding their customer base to AT&T and etc while currently US Cellar, and Alltel.
This is the srongest sign yet that I have seen that Android will be deployed to AT&T, Sprint, Verizon Wireless, US Cellar, and Alltel as far as having the servics that consumers want integrated to be used with Android.
