Hazelcast, a transactional, distributed/partitioned queue, map, set, lock, and executor service implementation for Java, is now open source and released under Apache license. After getting feedbacks like "it is a shame that it is not open source" (no, I am not kidding, this really happened :), I decided to go with open source to feel relieved!

The project is hosted at http://code.google.com/p/hazelcast

My company, Hazel Ltd., will continue actively supporting the Hazelcast and I will be full-time on the project as before.
