Hi,

in one of our products we are still using Kodo 3.x (makes me crying when thinking of good old Solarmetric times) and now i just wanted to download latest Kodo 4.x (yes we have lics for that) so that i cant start migrating to something Non-Oracle based like OpenJPA. Good idea but wait....

ORACLE DOES NOT OFFER KODO DOWNLOADS ANYMORE!!!

And then when reading the oracle devnet whatever its called forum, the lunatics from oracle just say that one can use EclipseLink. Ahhhh. Ok. It seems that they are so "weird" that they forgot that Kodo originally comes from the JDO world and many customers still using the JDO API.

I have to admit that i could have done the migration to JPA earlier with some of the early Kodo 4.x releases when it was still BEA but who could have estimated that oracle doesnt really give a shit about their "new" customers coming from BEA coming from Solarmetric.

All in all i can say that i will really try hard to avoid every oracle product they are going to offer and to make it even worse, i will consult my customers to do the same.

Now i will go the hard way and migrate our whole product to JPA (NOT EclipseLink but OpenJPA) in one step. Patrick Linskey was right leaving that company.
