For those looking to run User Mode Linux (UML) on Red Hat 9, you can check out this HOWTO.
If you install your Red Hat 9 kernel-utils rpm you will have the uml tools already installed.
All that is needed after that is the "linux" command (uml kernel) and config file available at http://kernels.usermodelinux.org/kernels/.
Then download your desired disk image file f 400 rom http://user-mode-linux.sourceforge.net/dl-fs-sf.html and you are ready to rock!
