I just had an interesting blow-back against non journalists this week. Evidently journalists and Journalist managers feel that they are threatened by declining ad sales per Print Media and etc. Number one, non journalists putting up online article is to surpass journalists numbers this year.
Number two, the bad attitude problem towards non journalists will not get you very far, about as far as Shel Israel got in pretending to know what he was talking about as far as modern transparent communication in this internet world. Of course there are some that will attempt the Don Quixote move of attacking windmills, it will fail.
Crowd sourcing the non journalist might be a more innovative approach and I see that newsvine is making some attempts in that area. The desire is already there in that the non journalist wants tools to create their own articles about what they value. We are humans, we create because its there and that is not an initiative that is stoppable.
