The "ObMimic" library for out-of-container servlet testing is now being made available to a small number of users as a private "beta" release, in advance of a public beta in the next month or two. If you find servlet code harder to test than plain Java, ObMimic might be just what you're looking for. We're ready for a few more people to start trying it out, so if you're interested just let me know.
