First let me stress that Russ Beattie is an online peer of mine and i do value his contributions to the mobile Web sphere. If you are interested in the future of Mobile Web his Mowser Good Bye post is worthwhile read. Not to take away form Russ Beattie's efforts but his post under plays another good point of starting start ups.

It requires in most cases with all high tech start up s2 to 3 years to establish the business and marketing models required to reach profitability. You have to have funds for operating costs and etc for 2 to 3 years an it snot optional. In a recent star t up that I worked for my major head aches was getting the naive founder to face that exact reality.

And loan funding whether formal through a bank or through friends is the wore kind of funding as its immediate terms are contrary to the reality of it taking 2 to 3 years to establish business profitability. Thus, please if you start a start up estimate 2 to 3 years operating costs and have that money on hand..PLEASE..
