I have narrowed down my VmWare time sync problem on my VM Xubuntu Guests. There is one option of clocksource that should work as a kernel line option in the menu.lst in the /boot/grub/ folder. This is for a HP work station Host that has AMD 64 dual core turion cpus with VMWare on top of MS Vista 32 bit.
Obviously, its not clocksource = vmi-timer or clocksource = apci_pm and thus which clocksource option? Well, I have four options left to test on Friday and should find the correct one.
