Loan funding is bad because you are building the business model and marketing model at the same time you are building a prototype on models that have not been built before and Loan interest and payments never match that set of conditions or allow for any successful strategy. the usual fix is to drastically reduce the prototype plan by changing definition of problem to get small enough to get through first VC funding phase with money in the bank.

That means at this time with 22% venture funding facebook based it better be a facebook application as you increase your odds to get funding significantly by targeting that aspect. i still have no answer how to succeed at turning a founder away from a death march and into doing small facebook applications to boot strap VC funding. Once loan funding is replaced by VC funding than you can branch into building integrated platforms.
,br> There is no polite way to do this and 99.99% of the time you will fail in convincing the founder to make changes to adapt that strategy.
