I am developing a socket networking server for a customer which operates as a bridge between an ERP system and a conveyor system. I just wanna post that Apache MINA is really a great project. Nice abstractions on top of the Java socket stack and very good ideas in it. I really like the modularity of this project. Normally you dont hear much about MINA but that doesnt mean that its not a great software, it just means that networking apps are not as visible in the blogsphere as the latest and greatest Ajax webapps.
