Out-of-container testing of JSP code is possible by running ZeroTurnaround's JspWeaver product on top of my own "ObMimic" library. Initial experiments have been successful on a variety of simple JSP files, including pages that use custom tags, JSTL, EL, and static and dynamic "includes". This articles explains how ObMimic and JspWeaver can be used together for this purpose, and reports on some specific findings noted during these initial experiments.
