I think I found MS's motivation for acquiring yahoo, its Mobile Assets. Think about it, has any executive form the Yahoo Mobile Team left yet? Yahoo believes mobile is the key to the new web 2.0, web 3.0, and etc. MS believes that the tipping point of mobile over desktop web surfing is at hand.
