Overall, as someone who follows IT management I liked the event. As I noted while there, I was primarily there to do all a series of videos. But, in addition to the videos, I had the usual analyst day of going through presentations, talking with Microsoft folks, and then hanging out for tapas and drinks with fellow analysts and Microsofties.
Speaking of the videos, here’s the index of all of them from IT Forum:
PowerShell Overview and Remote Update - I talked with Jeffrey Snover about PowerShell. Of most interest here are his comments on others who’re using PowerShell and the soon to be released remote functionality.
System Center Strategic Alliances and Partners - James talks with Carl Coken about, as the title suggests, alliances and partnerships, with some commentary on how standards fit with those two.
System Center Tour - Eric Berg gives me a tour of the System Center portfolio, focusing (per my questions) on Operations Manager, Configuration Manager, and Virtualization Manager. We also talk about virtualization in general a bit.
