At long last I've reached the stage where I can "eat my own dogfood", and try out my as-yet-unreleased ObMimic library for out-of-container testing of servlet code. This article describes ObMimic, as a prelude to a further article that will describe my own initial experimental use of it on some existing servlet filters and listeners, and on an existing Struts 1 application - including running the Struts 1 "ActionServlet" controller outside of a servlet container.
