Please don't get fooled by these announcements. BSNL and MTNL are controlled by the Government. The more they spend, the more bribes the employees and politicians get.

If India was really interested in improving connectivity, it would stop putting service tax on telephone, mobile and internet charges.

Governments all over the world are experts at lying to their people. India has not given clean water, enough simple food and decent medicine to its people, nearly 60 years after independence. So now it will give free wireless internet. What should be a priority for the government?
