The PHP Quercus engine from Caucho.com contains a JSR-223 compatible scripting engine. In this experiment I generated some text from a Java string which contains a simple PHP "echo"-script. The script prints out some PHP variables ($x, $y) in a PHP double quoted string. The PHP variables contain values which are assigned in the calling Java code.
