I've been using an ISP-supplied e-mail address as my main personal e-mail address for many years, but the ISP is now totally unreliable (rant, rant, rant). So the time has come to switch, but this has proven to be rather awkward and time-consuming. I'm left wondering if this couldn't be made easier by having standard protocols for maintaining and exchanging contact information.
