"Unfortunately the business story of JBoss is about how the many were exploited for the benefit of one." - from Greg's Blog.
Wow, thanks for the great insight there. You really opened my eyes there, man. I have been wondering what that feeling in my stomach was. At first I thought it was a feeling of contentment from having been a part of one of the greatest open source business successes. But now I realize that those feelings much just my way of compensating for the bitter pain of being exploited by Marc. I think Greg has just saved me countless hours of therapy in helping me come to that brilliant revelation.
Besides the bitterness of people like Greg who chose not to be a part of JBoss' success, does anyone really begrudge Marc his share of the reward? I know that that us poor, exploited fools at JBoss don't. But, I guess that's all part of Marc's evil genius - exploit the geeks and make us think we're getting a good deal at the same time.
Thank you sir! May I have another?
In all seriousness, I've been involved with quite a few startup companies over the last decade, and JBoss gave a much larger percentage of the reward to the geeks than any other company I've been involved in. If that's exploitation, then sign me up.
