Guess what? Apache License and Eclipse License are and will be fully GPLv3 compatible according to this RMS transcript. Why is this important?

For the Sun movement to open source Java to be successful the two most important and large open source java groups have to be able to merge their code among both GNU, ASF, and Eclipse. Which in turn transforms java form a 2nd class citizen within the Linux world to first class citizen.

What RMS did was just multiply by a million fold the number of stakeholders that will be opposed to Novell and Microsoft Patent jails for any reason.
